Flashlights have been around since the end of the 19th century. This technological equipment has altered and shaped the way we are able to view our surroundings in dark environments. It is evident that the human body is not equipped to see in dark places, flashlights are a vital tool that aids in a person’s ability to not only access visible light in the dark night and dark areas we stubble upon but flashlights can also be reliable and great self-defense/ tactical utility in anyone arsenal.

Olight, founded in China in 2007, manufactures and provides high-quality flashlights that have been tried and tested, covering a wide range of applications for law enforcement, military, police, household, public safety, hunting, and the outdoors.

Frame

Starting off with the frame of the flashlight. The flashlight is constructed with high-quality aluminum alloy, providing excellent durability resulting in its ability to withstand tough conditions. It has an IPX8 waterproof rating, meaning it can survive submersion in up to 2 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. Additionally, the Warrior Mini 2 is impact-resistant with a drop-proof rating of up to 1.5 meters. Only the head comes off of the light. These threads are fairly short, square-cut, and anodized. However, since the cell is proprietary in the way it is, it’s not possible to lock the light out mechanically.

Head and Tail

The flashlight has both a head and a tail. Both the head and tail have a spring. The head end has both positive and negative contacts there in the center. At the head of the flashlight, there is a high-quality LED emitter that produces a maximum output of 1750 lumens. The emitter is surrounded by a crenelated bezel that can be used for self-defense or breaking glass in emergencies. Proximity Sensor

Olight Warrior Mini 2 flashlight is equipped with a proximity sensor that allows for hands-free operation. The proximity sensor is powered by an infrared (IR) emitter and detector.
